Today, Bay FC announced that defender Emily Menges has been activated maternity and available for selection in the club’s next match this Sunday, August 30 at Audi Field vs Washington Spirit.

“I’m looking forward to welcoming Emily back on to the active roster,” said head coach Emma Coates. “Emily is an intelligent player and diligent professional. Her return to the roster reflects her hard work, commitment, and determination. I’m excited to see her contribute to the team as her focus can shift from her return to play into performance.”

Coming off a 1-0 shutout win over Houston Dash, Coates’ side will be welcoming back even more defensive reinforcements.

Menges was placed on maternity leave in August 2025 and welcomed her first child this February.

Since joining from Portland Thorns ahead of Bay FC’s inaugural season, she has earned 31 appearances. Menges is 16th is 16th in league history with 191 regular season appearances and 10th in minutes at 16,394 minutes.
