Barcelona new signing Jesse Bisiwu had to be stretchered off on Wednesday night while playing for Barca Atletic in the Copa Catalunya final against Sabadell.
Bisiwu was named in the starting XI by manager Juliano Belletti but suffered an ankle injury in a challenge with Gonzalo Ávila early on in the match and was unable to continue.
The summer signing looked to be in real pain after the tackle and had to be helped off the pitch by Barcelona’s medical staff.

A stretcher was then called and Bisiwu was taken away with his face over his hands. It’s obviously a worrying situation for Barcelona and their new signing, especially right at the very start of the season.

Bisiwu will now undergo further tests on the injury to determine the severity of the problem. Let’s hope it’s good news and that he’s not set for a spell on the sidelines.
