Avatar Studios’ first production, Avatar: The Last Airbender to give fans the chance to spend a bit more time with the beloved characters. The studio's next project, Avatar: Seven Havens, is a hard pivot, set about 300 years after the original series in a post-apocalyptic world where the Avatar is reviled. A new teaser for the series, which premieres on Paramount Plus in October, provides a thrilling look at the setting and how things got so bad. Avatar: Seven Havens takes place 225 years after the events of the first Avatar sequel, The Legend of Korra. Avatars can live far longer than a typical human lifespan, and the trailer shows a much older Korra with white-streaked hair seemingly unleashing fire and tentacles of spirit energy on a city in a fit of rage. The deed is memorialized in a mural depicting Korra in the Avatar state as a demonic figure.

That’s a big problem for the new Avatar, the Earthbender Pavi, a child even younger than Aang was at the start of his journey. Pavi lives in the city of Ellora, a metropolis tucked between canyons that protect it from constantly raging sandstorms and tornadoes. Kids there grow up learning to hate the Avatar for causing this cataclysm. But when the Airbender Jae is caught under rocks in a sandstorm, Pavi reveals she is the Avatar by using both Earthbending and Airbending.

As rumors of the Avatar’s return spread throughout Ellora, Jae tries to protect Pavi from the forces hunting her. They also face the wrath of the spirit world, which threatens the fragile safety the city offers. Pavi and Jae find some surprising new allies as Pavi learns she has a twin sister, Nisha, another Earthbender who has her own companion giant cat-monkey. They also encounter members of the Order of the White Lotus, the ancient secret society devoted to protecting and training the Avatar.
