AAA: Sugar Land Space Cowboys (60-55) won 10-2 (BOX SCORE)

Sugar Land got the scoring started in the second inning scoring 5 runs on a Price 2 run home run, Ferreras 2 run double and a run on a wild pitch. McPherson started fro Sugar Land and went 2.2 innings allowing 2 unearned runs. The offense got another run in the 5th on an Alexander solo home run. Weiss tossed 3.1 scoreless innings in relief. The offense got some insurance in the 9th scoring 4 runs on a Price 2 run home run and Salazar 2 run home run. The rest of the bullpen was solid tossing shutout innings as they closed out the 10-2 win.

Note: Alexander has a .874 OPS this season.


AA: Corpus Christi Hooks (52-58) lost 9-3 (BOX SCORE)

Hertzler started for the Hooks but struggled allowing 8 runs, 7 earned, over 2 innings. The Hooks got on the board in the 5th inning on an Austin 2 run home run. They picked up another run in the 9th on a Call groundout but that was it as they were unable to overcome the early deficit and fell 9-3.

Note: Austin has 14 home runs this season.


A+: Asheville Tourists (37-71) lost 4-1 (BOX SCORE)

Perez got the start for Asheville and allowed 2 runs over 4.1 innings while striking out 7. Asheville got a run in the 5th inning with a run scoring on a double play. The bullpen allowed a couple of runs as the Emperors extended their lead. The Asheville offense qwas quiet the rest of the way as they fell 4-1.

Note: Thomas has 32 stolen bases this season.


A: Fayetteville Woodpeckers (55-52)

Game One – won 5-4 (BOX SCORE)

Weber started this game on Tuesday and went 3 innings allowing 1 run. The game was suspended due to rain and picked up on Wednesday. The offense got on the board in the third when a run scored on a double play. Smith came into the game in the 4th and went 4.2 innings allowing 3 runs. The offense got a run in the 6th on a Piasecki walk and then 2 runs in the 8th inning to tie it on a Piasecki groundout and a run on an error. The bullpen tossed a scoreless 9th and in the bottom of the inning the Woodpeckers walked it off on a Luciano RBI single.

Note: Weber has a 3.17 ERA this season.

Game Two – won 4-0 (BOX SCORE)

Fraide started for the Woodpeckers and pitched well tossing 6 scoreless innings with 5 strikeouts. The Woodpeckers got on the board in the 2nd inning on a Tryon solo home run. In the 4th, the offense added 3 runs on a Flores RBI single and De Leon 2 run single. Butler tossed a scoreless 7th inning to close out the 4-0 win.

Note: Fraide has a 2.96 ERA in Single-A.
