Cole Jannusch hired for varsity girls basketball
According to Howard Rub, Astoria High School Director of Athletics, Cole Jannusch has been hired to lead the Astoria High Girls Basketball Program.
Jannusch has spent the last two seasons as an assistant coach for the program. He was previously head coach for girls basketball at Warrenton High School from 2022 – 2024. According to
“Coach Jannusch has been a great asset to our program the past two seasons,” Rub said in a press release. “As one of our assistants, he immediately immersed himself with our youth programs. Coach Jannusch will do an outstanding job leading our girls. We are excited to have him serve as our head coach.”
annusch lives in Astoria with his wife, Angela Jannusch, and his children, Lucy, an Astoria Hich School sophomore, Finley, an Astoria Middle School 7th grader and Winnie, a 4th grader at Lewis and Clark Elementary School.
Coach Jannusch also serves as the Farmer’s Insurance agent in Astoria located at 1007 Marine Drive.
