Arsenal and Galatasaray are reported to have begun talks regarding a potential transfer of Victor Osimhen (27) to England, according to information from Foot Mercato.
In their search for an additional player to bolster their attack, the Gunners are said to have made the Nigerian one of their top targets, following the difficulties they have encountered in their bid to sign Atlético Madrid’s Julián Alvarez (26).
A deal that could well be facilitated by Galatasaray’s desire to secure the services of Arsenal players Ethan Nwaneri (19) and Gabriel Martinelli (25). However, the Gunners’ management will still need to dig deep into their pockets in their pursuit of Osimhen, as Galatasaray are keen to recoup the €75m they invested in him to prise him away from Napoli last summer.
Under contract until 2029, the Nigerian – a top priority for Mikel Arteta – could soon be making his Premier League debut, having first made a name for himself at Lille OSC before bursting onto the scene in Italy.
