Test at WSG Tirol on Sunday
The away games just keep on coming! Our lads have barely returned from Cyprus, and we're already off to Tyrol, before the Europa League playoff in Sweden next Thursday. First things first, we need to give it our all this Sunday, 16 August, at 17:00 CEST against WSG Tirol.
Philipp Semlic's team seem to be thriving as underdogs, having managed to secure a draw against SK Sturm Graz on the opening matchday – thanks in part to a strong performance from goalkeeper Salko Hamzic. WSG were less successful on matchday two, suffering a 1-3 defeat against SCR Altach.
After the wild ride in Limassol, we're looking to quickly recover and get back on the winning track. Following our opening victory against Hartberg, we could only manage a 1-1 draw against WAC.

The task against the Tirol is certainly difficult, because not only did they play well at home recently, securing a point against Sturm Graz, but they are also unbeaten in their last five home games. Of course, we want to break this streak, but we know we have to give it our all. We arrived back from Cyprus on Friday evening and are already traveling to Tyrol again on Saturday. It's quite possible we'll rotate the squad a bit and bring in some fresh legs, as we did against WAC recently. In any case, advancing to the Europa League play-offs has given us an extra boost of energy and confidence

We have to be fully focused on Sunday because WSG Tirol are a very strong team at home. If you look at their recent home games, you can see they've consistently picked up points, like in their recent match against Sturm Graz. That's why we have to be especially careful. With so many matches and so much travel, recovery is a crucial factor for us. We're playing almost every three days at the moment. Therefore, rest between games is just as important as the match itself.
