The Andhra Pradesh Rythu Sangham’s Vizianagaram District Convener Ullakuila Neelakantheswara Yadav urged the State government to announce a financial aid of ₹50,000 per acre for farmers who lost their investment during the Kharif season in the drought-hit mandals of the district. He, along with members of the association, submitted a memorandum to mandal tehsildar Rajasekhar in Rajam on Friday.

He stated in a release that the government should waive off existing crop loans and ensure payment of crop insurance amount to the farmers. Mr. Yadav has also appealed to the government to supply fodder for cattle at free of cost as farmers are hit with financial distress.
