Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly Speaker Ch. Ayyanna Patrudu will participate in the 69th Commonwealth Parliamentary Conference (CPC) to be organised at Cape Town in South Africa from September 13 to 18.
Published - September 10, 2026 07:22 pm ISTThe event brings together Presiding Officers and Parliamentary representatives from the Commonwealth countries to deliberate on issues concerning democracy, effective legislative functioning, good governance and strengthening of democratic institutions.
Mr. Patrudu will exchange views and experiences with the Presiding Officers and legislators from different Commonwealth jurisdictions and share the Parliamentary traditions, practices and functioning of the Andhra Pradesh Legislature.
Prasanna Kumar Suryadevara, Secretary General of A.P. Legislature, will participate in the Conference of Secretaries, which is an integral part of the CPC.
The Speaker will depart from Visakhapatnam on September 10 and return on September 20.
