Austin grad Thomas Fritz, Jr. had five carries for 30 yards and a TD for Dort University in a season opening 38-31 loss to Indiana Wesleyan recently.
Fritz, a junior, now has over 1,000 total yards and eight TDs in his career at Dordt.
SOCCER
Austin grad Andres Garcia netted a recent hat trick for St. Cloud State University (1-1 overall).
Garcia, who is in his sixth year at SCSU after missing the 2022 and 2023 seasons to injury, now has 16 career goals with the Huskies.
Garcia's younger brother, Adian Martinez, has a goal and an assist in four games this season with the University of Wisconsin Badgers (4-0 overall).
VOLLEYBALL
Blooming Prairie grad Ella Smith has seen a little bit of action for the Minot State University volleyball team.
Smith, a sophomore had one kill in a match against Drury and she has played in two sets for the Beavers (1-3 overall).
Austin grad Isabella Bolster had 44 kills on the season at Riverland Community College (3-1 overall).
