The Miami Hurricanes got things started off in Week 2 by crushing Florida A&M 77-7 on Thursday night. It was another nice showing by QB Darian Mensah and WR Malachi Toney. But there is still a full slate of this weekend.
We will have games from Friday through Sunday, and here are six bold predictions for the slate.

Bryce Underwood shows why he was the No. 1 recruit
On paper, Underwood is bound to have another bad performance. Michigan is hosting Oklahoma and Brent Venables’ defense, which will likely cause a lot of issues for Underwood. and Underwood is still talented.
Michigan will have to play to Underwood’s strengths and if the Wolverines are going to be competitive, Underwood will have to play up to his capabilities.
Arch Manning has his Heisman moment
It took a while for Arch Manning to figure things out last season. He didn’t play well in Week 1 against OSU, throwing for 170 yards in the Longhorns’ 14-7 loss to Ohio State.But Manning appears to be a new player and he is going to on Saturday night against the Buckeyes. Texas is at home and it can’t afford to lose to Ohio State yet again. The Buckeyes have a new-look defense, and while they are still talented, this could be Manning’s time to shine.
Look for Texas to win a close game, but Manning has an efficient game, while scoring the game-winning touchdown.
Faizon Brandon looks like a freshman against Georgia Tech
The Yellow Jackets laid an egg last weekend against Colorado, losing 14-13. While Georgia Tech lost, its defense played quite well against Colorado’s high-octane offense. While Brandon is an immense talent, there are going to be bumps in the road, and Georgia Tech could exploit that this weekend.

Keelon Russell has little trouble with Kentucky
Kalen DeBoer picked Keelon Russell over Austin Mack and after one week, it appears to be the right call. Russell threw for 256 yards and ran for 86 yards in the 48-10 win over East Carolina last weekend. But Russell will enter hostile territory this weekend against Kentucky and the Wildcats are looking for a signature win under Will Stein.However, Alabama has too much talent for Kentucky. Russell needs Ryan Coleman-Williams to catch the football, and assuming he does, there are too many playmakers for Kentucky to handle, and Russell continues to show why DeBoer picked him as the replacement for Ty Simpson.
Boise State falls to 0-2, all but officially ending CFP hopes
Memphis’ offense has been great and its defense has played well. RB Jaylin Carter has 280 yards in two games and Boise State is going to have to stop him.
The Broncos could be feeling heartbroken after almost beating Oregon and if Boise State isn’t 100% focused, Memphis will come in there and win. A 0-2 start would essentially end the Broncos’ chances of making the playoff.
Nebraska freshman Jamal Rule puts the nation on notice
If you haven’t heard Jamal Rule’s name — you should know it. Nebraska landed transfer Mekhi Hughes to lead its backfield this season, but it was Rule who shined in Nebraska’s 49-21 win over Ohio. The true freshman ran for 122 yards and two scores.And he is going to get more opportunity this weekend when the Huskers play Bowling Green. The Falcons just lost to Tarleton State this past weekend, and it’s clear BGSU isn’t a good team. Rule is going to get more time on task and the speedy back can prove he’s the best fit next to dual-threat QB Anthony Colandrea.
