The upcoming horror thriller ‘418’ is among the intriguing genre films arriving this year. The makers have now unveiled the trailer, offering a glimpse into a disturbing mystery surrounding a haunted building that has remained sealed for 15 years. Presented by ‘KGF’ and ‘Salaar’ fame Prashanth Neel, the film marks the directorial debut of Kirtan Nadagouda.

A haunted building and the mystery of Room No. 418

The trailer opens with a watchman speaking about a mysterious building where, according to him, not even birds venture inside. It then introduces 18-year-old Vivek, who appears to find himself caught between reality and hallucination as strange incidents begin unfolding around him.The watchman says, “When nature is about to unleash a disaster, birds and animals can sense it in advance. I never saw a bird inside the gate, in so many years of my service. Are you sensing something too?”The mystery deepens as the trailer reveals that the building has been sealed for 15 years, with Room No. 418 emerging as a crucial part of the story. The trailer also introduces a pregnant woman named Devika, adding another layer to the unsettling mystery. Several disturbing incidents are shown as the narrative hints at secrets hidden within the building.

Chaithra Achar adds to the horror

Kirtan Nadagouda appears to build the film’s horror through suspense, atmosphere and psychological tension rather than relying on conventional comic elements often seen in horror films.

Chaithra Achar is seen in a particularly unsettling avatar, with her expressions and strange mannerisms adding to the eerie atmosphere. The trailer also features bloodshed and moments of gore, suggesting that the film could offer a darker and more intense horror experience.

Cast and crew of ‘418’

Along with Chaithra Achar, the film features Surya Raj, Charan Lakkaraju and Preethi Pagadala in important roles. Preethi, who gained recognition with ‘Patang’ and through her social media presence, is also part of the ensemble cast. Dinesh Divakaran has handled the cinematography, while Venky GG has composed the music.
