4 recruits with Alabama basketball offers could jump to 2027 class | Report

A handful of 2028 prospects with Alabama basketball offers are up to potentially fast-track their paths to their collegiate careers. On Wednesday, Sept. 2, On3's Jamie Shaw listed five players who are currently part of the 2028 recruiting cycle who have been rumored to be considering reclassification to the 2027 class. Four of those players had been offered by the Crimson Tide. Out of 5-star guard Colton Hiller, 5-star center Yann Kamagate and 4-star forwards Isaiah Hamilton and Benji Berrouet, Shaw said Alabama got "involved early" in Hamilton's recruitment. The Toronto, Ontario, native has also represented Canada on the Under Armour Next 16U Circuit and at the FIBA U17 World Cup. Florida State and Villanova were also schools Shaw said had early involvement with Hamilton, who touts more than 15 offers. He doesn't have any official visits planned at this time, but that could change quickly should he reclassify. If Hamilton was a college freshman in 2027, his October 2009 birthday would also make him eligible for the 2028 NBA Draft. Other SEC programs that have extended an offer to Hamilton include Arkansas, Georgia and Missouri, the first program in the conference to go after the top-five dunk machine. Alabama offered Hamilton on Oct. 30, 2025, well before Arkansas and Georgia entered the picture in June. New Crimson Tide roster member Anderson Diaz is the latest Alabama prospect to have reclassified. The former 2027 guard's decision to take his talents to Tuscaloosa in July helped the program's 2026 recruiting class rank sixth in the 247Sports Composite. Alabama will usher in the 2026 season with exhibition play starting on Thursday, Oct. 15, at Boutwell Auditorium in Birmingham, where the Crimson Tide will meet Ole Miss.
