The Jets won't be an elite team in 2026 and I would expect them to play from behind in quite a few games this season. Last year, that would have have been a death sentence with Justin Fields and Brady Cook at quarterback. Smith is a competent quarterback and will look to redeem himself after his first run with the Jets was a failure. With the talent assembled for him on offense, Smith will become the first Jets quarterback to hit 4,000 passing yards in a season since Joe Namath did it in 1967.
Breece Hall will have over 2,000 Yards From Scrimmage
Hall signed a three-year contract extension to stay with the Jets probably because he was excited about his role in Frank Reich's offense. Last year, the Jets didn't utilize Hall much as a pass catcher, probably because they didn't have a quarterback who could get him the ball consistently.He’s the ultimately dual threat and you can bet Reich will have some tricks up his sleeve to maximize Hall’s production. Despite the team's terrible 2025 season, Hall still managed to rush for over 1,000 yards, which is incredible to say the least. Outside of Dylan Parham replacing John Simpson, the rest of the offensive line returns and he finally has a quarterback who can get him the ball in Smith. 2026 could be the season we finally talk about Hall among the best running backs in the league.
Taylor and Sadiq combine for 1,000 yards and 8 touchdowns
It’s tough to recall the last offensive coordinator that featured the tight end in their game plan. Probably not since Dustin Keller during the Rex Ryan era. Selected in the second round of the 2025 draft, Mason Taylor was on his way to a solid rookie season before a neck injury cost him the last four games. He's fully healthy and was utilized in the preseason with the first-team offense, which is a good sign for his role in the offense.The Jets drafted Sadiq with one of their three first-round picks and while he's listed as a tight end, he can also be lined up in the slot thanks to his 4.36 speed and his size (6'3", 241 lbs.). Taylor and Sadiq have potential to be x-factors in this offense and excellent security blankets for Smith when he needs to quickly get rid of the ball. They can be dangerous weapons in the red-zone and can take pressure off of Garrett Wilson and Adonai Mitchell in the passing game, allowing both more scoring opportunities. It's refreshing to see the Jets finally incorporate the tight end in the offense. It's even more refreshing that they now have two who will make an impact on game day.
